1. Data Collected

Peer Latency only collects the information necessary for the service to function, for the duration of a session:

• Display name: the name you choose when joining a session. It is not a verified identifier.
• Session code: the code you create or share to group participants together.
• Your device's network address (public IP address and port): required to establish a direct connection between devices in a session. This information is not displayed as readable text in the app, but is technically exchanged between devices in the same session to enable the direct connection.
• Latency measurements (round-trip time, jitter, packet loss) calculated between devices in a session.

2. Use of Data

This information is used exclusively to:

• Connect you to the other participants in the same session.
• Display, to all participants in a session, the display name and connection statistics (latency, path quality) of every member. This is a core feature of the app: every participant in a session sees everyone's latency, not just their own.

This data is never used for advertising or profiling purposes, and is never sold to third parties.

3. Data Retention

Peer Latency does not use any database. All session information (names, codes, network addresses, measurements) is kept only in memory, on the server, for the duration of the session. It is deleted as soon as a participant leaves the session, the session empties out, or the server restarts. No session data is retained permanently.

The server keeps basic technical logs (timestamp, session code, display name) for operational troubleshooting purposes. These logs are not shared with third parties.

4. Third Parties and Tracking

Peer Latency does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no advertising SDK, no third-party crash reporting service).

5. Children

Peer Latency is not intended for children under the age of 13, and the app does not knowingly collect any information from this age group.

6. Your Rights

Since no data is retained permanently, there is generally nothing to delete after a session ends. For any questions about your data or this policy, contact us at the address below.
